Gas installation components

To better understand a gas installation, here is a list of components:

• Box with Gas Meter: is located on the property boundary of the consumer with easy access from the street. On houses the meter and fire shut off valve are inside of this box;

• Gas Meter: is located on each floor of the building or in a common cabinet. Inside is the shut off fire valve, the gas fire reducer and the gas counter;

• Valves cutting appliances, are installed near each gas appliance and allow the client to close or open the gas supply to them;

• Pipe line Valve: not being part of a gas installation is installed in the street, and exclusively operated by the distributor to cut the gas supply to the building in case of any need.
